New Gates and Automation
The Design Process – Gatehouse Security work with you to design gates to suit your requirements. Gates come in all shapes, sizes, and material and are made to measure. If you see a style you like, would like wooden swing gates, a steel sliding gate or steel and wooden gates, with the help of our experienced gate makers/ joiners we will design and quote. Our carpenters use Iroko hardwood which is long lasting and great for automating. Our fabricators use steel which we can be galanised and powder coated to a RAL of your choice.

Existing Gate Automation
If you already have gates and would like to change them to electric gates, we can quote to install the best system. A site survey and risk assessment will be completed, and we will provide a no obligation quote. If your gate is not suitable for automation, we will work out best option for you.
Your new automated gate is classed as a machine and as such will require safety equipment to be installed. You will be provided with certificates and a force test on completion of the project. We will advise on the best solution. Information on gate safety can be found here http://www.hse.gov.uk/work-equipment-machinery/faq-powered-gates.htm
Visitors and Deliveries
When installing an automated gate, thought should be given to how people get in! As the owner of the gates, you will have handheld remotes to operate your gate. Access control will be discussed and you have the option of a simple push to exit button, vehicle loops or an Intercom. We will advise on this during the site meeting.
As with any piece of machinery, it is important to service your gates regularly. This will keep them working at their best and will identify any issues which may cause long term damage or faults. We recommend a maintenance and safety inspection is completed at least once a year.
If your gates develop a fault, please contact us to arrange a call out. During the first year of your installation there is a warranty on the parts. Our engineers are experienced in tracing and rectifying faults. Call out fees will apply.
